Michigan Medicaid: Choice Waiver Program

Attentive Care Companions is a participant in the MI Choice Waiver program. This program is run by Michigan Medicaid. This program is an option for persons in need of personal, in-home care. The “Waiver” program is an option for persons that qualify for services provided in a nursing home but are now covered in the individual’s home. The “Waiver” program is funded through three different categories one for the Elderly, one for the Disabled, and one for children. This is a great program that allows people to remain in their own home rather than a nursing home or assisted living facility.

List of services covered under the MI Choice Waiver:

  • Homemaker services
  • Respite services
